Clay Altizer currently serves as an International Marketing Specialist – Forest Products for the North Carolina Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services in Raleigh. Previous employment experience includes serving as the Utilization Forester with the NC Forest Service, a Research Assistant Professor in the Division of Forest Resources at West Virginia University, and a Research Associate in the College of Forest Resources at Mississippi State University. Clay received a B.A. in Biology from Virginia Military Institute, an M.S. in Forestry and Forest Products from Virginia Tech, and both an M.P.P.A in Public Policy and Administration and a Ph.D. in Forest Resources from Mississippi State University. Clay is a native of Christiansburg, VA and currently resides in Clayton, NC.
