China & Vietnam Wood Species Inbound Trade Mission to North Carolina

China’s planted forest area is the largest in the world. However, a ban on commercial logging of natural forests limits the supply of high-quality timber and pushes China to import large volumes of wood, since planted timber is not easily substituted for natural timber. This inbound mission is an ideal platform to bring timber and wood product buyers to North Carolina to understand in-depth about the forest industry and products in the state via site visits and tours, as well as one-on-one meetings with qualified suppliers. Companies are also able to establish important connections with key buyers without traveling to the two countries, and acquire first-hand information and insight on China and Vietnam’s demand for U.S. forest products.
