In 2015 we were so grateful to be awarded the Green Business of the Year Award by the Mount Airy Chamber of Commerce for our utilization of re purposed materials. Sustainability is a value we reflect as much as possible in our business. From our retail space to our products – we aim to re purpose and conserve as much as possible in any form!
Our whiskies are unique in that they use a sorghum grain based mash in place of the most commonly used corn mash. The sorghum plant is an extremely drought resistant and high-energy crop – making it efficient in solar energy and water use conservation. Sorghum is also naturally gluten-free, making it not only a sustainable and tasty ingredient in our spirits but also a great choice for those who are gluten intolerant. Talk about a win-win-win!
